City Taxes

Aiken County and City real estate taxes are based on the market value of the home and may be determined by using the following formula.

Market Value x .04 = Assessed Value x .1642 (combined city and county mill. rate = tax)

There is a different formula used for non-resident owners.

For homestead exemption for those over the age of 65 deduct the first $50,000 of the market value and use formula above
